Poslední dubnový den jsme ve škole přivítali hned dvě významné návštěvy, které spojovalo společné téma: Podpora pozitivního chování dětí a žáků (PBIS). Dopoledne u nás strávilo osm pedagogů ze Základní školy Solidarita, kteří měli možnost navštívit výuku a pozorovat, jak s prvky PBIS pracujeme v praxi. Zároveň nás navštívila také delegace expertů z mezinárodní platformy SMHILE, složená ze zástupců univerzit z USA, Austrálie a Německa, doplněná o členy organizace Society for all, z. s. (SOFA). Také oni si prohlédli naši školu, účastnili se vyučovacích hodin a vnímali zdejší atmosféru. Především ale strávili několik hodin v diskuzi s vedením školy nad tím, jak funguje česká škola, která byla mezi prvními v Česku, jež si PBIS zvolila jako základ pro budování bezpečného a podporujícího prostředí.
Co je SMHILE?
School Mental Health International Leadership Exchange (SMHILE) je mezinárodní platforma sdružující přední odborníky na podporu duševního zdraví dětí a dospívajících ve školním prostředí. Jejím cílem je podporovat efektivní přístupy k péči o duševní zdraví ve školách na mezinárodní úrovni – a to zejména prostřednictvím sdílení odborných zkušeností, návrhů strategií a vzájemné podpory.

Zeleneč is a magical place. From the moment walk in you feel welcomed and part of their community. The headmaster and assistant headmasters have worked so diligently to make Zeleneč an incredible school. They are continually seeking ways to improve their use of evidence based practices, particularly positive behavior supports and experiential learning (through their amazing science lab!) I am so happy to have visited Zeleneč and I hope to be lucky enough to keep visiting.

The school visit was a fantastic opportunity to gain deeper insight into the innovative work being undertaken at Zelenec. The leadership team was exceptionally generous in sharing their practices and engaging in high-level professional discussions. My first encounter was a warm welcome. It put me in the mood for a school experience that was characterized by open, approachable communication, not only with me as a guest, but also with everyone involved in the school. There was a peaceful atmosphere in which the focus was on what ideally characterizes school, the concentration on joyful, meaningful learning in exchange with each other, in which school becomes a living environment and not just a place of learning. There was a consensus about the pedagogical tasks and challenges, but also about the work done, supported by the idea of resource-oriented pedagogical work, strengthening positive behavior of all those involved in school life and thus making a constructive school culture and school climate a reality. From the school management level to the teaching staff to the pupils, the aim is to enable the children to develop in a healthy way. Impressive!
